Cricket West Indies has unveiled an intriguing 2026 home schedule with Sri Lanka, New Zealand and Pakistan all set to tour the Caribbean in a season that blends white-ball spectacle with crucial red-ball contests.

The campaign will carry added significance for the West Indies Test side as series against Sri Lanka and Pakistan form part of the ongoing ICC World Test Championship. With the regional side enduring a difficult start to the current cycle, the upcoming home fixtures present an opportunity for a reset in familiar conditions.

Sri Lanka to open the Caribbean summer

Sri Lanka will begin the home season with a multi-format tour in Jamaica. Sabina Park will host three One-Day Internationals and three T20 Internationals between June 3 and June 14 before the action moves to Antigua for a two-match Test series at the Sir Vivian Richards Stadium.

The Antigua leg is expected to provide West Indies with an important chance to rebuild confidence in red-ball cricket after a difficult start to the World Test Championship cycle.

New Zealand series split between Guyana and Barbados

New Zealand will then arrive for a five-match ODI series in July with the opening three games set for the Guyana National Stadium.

The final two matches will now take place at Kensington Oval in Barbados following logistical discussions involving Cricket West Indies and the Guyanese government.

CWI chief executive Chris Dehring said the revised arrangement was agreed after consultations with both governments and New Zealand Cricket with the aim of delivering a successful series for supporters across the Caribbean.

West Indies cricket schedule brings historic Pakistan Tests

Pakistan will round off the home season with a two-Test series in Trinidad and Tobago beginning on July 25.

The opening contest will mark a milestone moment for the Brian Lara Cricket Academy which is preparing to stage its first-ever Test match. The second Test will then be played at the historic Queen’s Park Oval from August 2-6.

For West Indies supporters there is reason for optimism despite recent struggles. The packed home calendar offers high-quality opposition and an opportunity for the Caribbean side to reignite its World Test Championship campaign on home soil.

West Indies currently sit bottom of the World Test Championship standings after suffering seven defeats in their opening eight matches of the 2025-27 cycle.
